About this property
Situated on the shores of the Kyles of Bute, Kames Hotel boasts original Edwardian features, home-cooked food and an extensive range of malt whiskies and local ales. Free Wi-Fi is featured in each room at Kames, as well as an en suite bathroom and tea/coffee making facilities. Some rooms also come with a sea view. A hearty full Scottish breakfast is served each morning, which guests can enjoy with a view over the sea. Freshly ground coffee is also available, as well as Loch Fyne kippers and porridge. A bar menu including hand-made burgers and battered haddock is also on offer, as well as a specials board with the catch or game of the day. Kyles of Bute Golf Course is a 10-minute walk from the hotel and offers a 9-hole course with a picturesque backdrop. Coastal walks along Ostel Bay can be found 10 minutes away by car, as well as a sandy beach. We are a family- run, dog friendly, boutique hotel in the picturesque village of Kames. Hidden away on Argyll’s Secret Coast, with an extensively stocked bar, and restaurant serving the finest locally farmed food and wild seafood, we are the perfect place to escape to. The Kames Hotel is a late Georgian/ early Victorian building, situated on the water's edge and brimming with period features and charm. Sleeping up to 19 adults, we provide an intimate environment for you to relax in. All our bedrooms are ensuite, have their own unique character and many have breathtaking views over the Kyles of Bute. With a vast array of whiskies & craft gins, and an extensive selection of spirits, wines, lagers & local ales, our bar is the perfect place to unwind after a day exploring our incredible landscape or for those who have been hard at work. Our area is famous for food and our chefs source the finest local produce, providing an extensive menu & Specials menu for you to enjoy in our restaurant. In addition, our hotel boasts a large South-facing garden, coupled with our dining room, bar & restaurant facilities, it is a fantastic venue for hosting private and corporate parties and events, and we can provide catering tailored to your needs. Seafarers, we have 15 moorings in front of the hotel, which patrons are welcome to use free of charge on a first come, first serve basis. We look forward to welcoming you!
