Stayed here the night prior to catching the 7am ferry to Islay. Wonderful, peaceful and impeccably clean. Hist even provided a take away cup for me to make a tea for my early start. Wonderful service and immaculately clean room.

Starting with a very friendly greeting and informative conversation, Andrea provided us with great tourism insights. His breakfasts were exceptional. I'd recommend this B and B, and would have no hesitation in returning in the future.

The food is outstanding, and we think the Sika venison burger was the best burger we've ever had. Immaculately presented, lovely location and Andrea was a wonderful host. Don't miss out on the evening food option - a surprise foodie discovery!

A rural retreat combining the magic of wild Scotland with the tranquillity of its countryside. Set in the heart of the Kintyre peninsula, the Farmhouse is surrounded by fields of livestock and newly replanted forests. We're a tiny 3 acres smallholding, therefore you can expect a flock of hens running toward you hoping for a handful of grains or the loud grunt of the ever-hungry piggies. Stay with us to explore the beauty of Kintyre, stay with us hiking The Kintyre Way trail or hop on a ferry to the nearby islands of Islay, Arran or Gigha.
Located only 15 minutes drive from the picturesque fishing village of Tarbert, the farmhouse is set in a rural quiet area. The property is neatly divided between owners' quarters and guests' accommodation allowing for plenty of privacy during your stay as there are no shared areas with the keepers. The accommodation comprises of a double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom recently refurbished to a high standard. (Another double en-suite room is available in a separate listing). A communal guest lounge with a log burner provides the perfect space to unwind with a book or a dram of whisky. Furthermore, you can enjoy a guests-only part of the garden or relax on the decking, the ideal spot to savour the many breath-taking sunsets. We aim to provide you with a true break from the hectic life, therefore a non-existent phone signal, limited WiFi, and no TV in the house should be seen as a welcome help to a media detox!
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS We hope that you will love your stay with us, but if there's anything you need that we haven't listed or you have special requirements (including severe allergies), please contact us prior to making the booking to make sure we can accommodate it. PETS / ALLERGIES We love animals but unfortunately, we are unable to accept pets. There are free-ranging animals on the property, as well as our 3 friendly dogs. Whilst our dogs are not allowed in the guest accommodation, you might want to give us a miss if you suffer from pet allergies or don't enjoy the animals' company. CHILDREN At times we might be able to accommodate infants and children, but please enquire before making your booking. HIKING & CYCLING HOLIDAYS We are only minutes away from the gorgeous Kintyre Way trail, making it a perfect stop after a long day of hiking. The Farmhouse is rurally located and public transport is very limited, please bear this in mind when planning walking/hiking holidays. At present, there are no guest bike storage facilities at the Farmhouse, but (with a bit of notice) we might be able to store it overnight in our garage. DINNERS / IN-HOUSE CATERING We regularly offer 3-course-set dinner menus focusing on local and foraged produce. Availability and menu will be confirmed a few days prior to your arrival and booking in advance is essential. Our breakfast consists of buffet style selection of cereals, preserves and bread as well as cooked to order option. Service runs from 7.30 to 9.00 am. Please note the upgrade works at the farmhouse are not 100% completed as yet. Whilst we guarantee there won't be building noises or works during your stay, please excuse our temporary not-so-great appearance on the outside.
