Dupplin152 bed and breakfast was established in 2017. We designed the King and Superking ensuite rooms the way we would like to find them. So the beds are superb quality, as is the bed linen, carpets and drapes. The complimentary room and toilet items are plentiful and for more choice, you can help yourself to espresso, more teas and fresh fruit in the dining room. The property retains its Victorian charm, with understated decor. The rooms are light and airy. Original features sit alongside antiques and miscellaneous paraphernalia found at French antique markets, so a little shabby chic turns up here and there. The dining room is traditional Scots. The solid, wooden table seats four, with French and Scottish carver chairs to relax in and enjoy your breakfast. Fiona is a semi-retired Chef and she will be cooking your breakfast, while Bryan enjoys looking after our guests front of house. To the left of the front door is a seating area in the garden, where you can relax with a coffee, or bring out your breakfast. The garden is yours to enjoy.

It retains many of its original features and has been owned, renovated and cared for by us, Fiona and Bryan since 1997. There is a bell just inside the dining room for assistance, our private rooms are downstairs, at the back of the property. We offer our guests two comfortable en suite rooms. King, or superking with high quality bedding, feather duvets and pillows. Smart TV, with netflix blackout curtains, Taylors of Harrogate coffee bags, instant coffee and a choice of teas and Tunnocks biscuits. in your en suite there are bath sheets and complimentary toiletries For breakfast there are always plenty of continental choices and warm pastries to ward off the hunger pangs until your hot food arrives. Fresh coffee, excellent chocolate and a selection of teas can also be "to go" when you leave us, along with any pastries you didnt have room for. pop them in a napkin and we'll find you a paper bag. There's an armchair, Smart TV and original Victorian fireplace all add to the relaxed atmosphere, especially when the fire's lit on dull winter mornings. The dining room is available to our guests for their entire stay.

Our neighbourhood is residential. A collection of similarly dated houses. 1877, sandstone. Our own has an 8ft sandstone wall around the front garden, with a large wrought iron gate onto the street. At the bus stop 100 yards from the house, you can find a reliable bus service(17) into the city, every 10 minutes. We also keep timetables for other routes you might want to take. There is a mini supermarket 3 minutes walk that sells beer and wine and has a free withdrawal cash machine. Lochee swimming baths and gym is 10 minutes walk. under 3 pounds per swim. You will also find plenty of shops in the area too...Lidl 15 mins walk. Balgay park 8 minutes walk. Balgay hill has various, tree covered, leisurely routes to the top where you will find the Mills observatory.( the first, purpose built, public astronomical observatory in the UK) Dundee itself is the perfect hub to see the rest of Scotland. Within 30 minutes, Dundee, Fife, Angus and Perthshire can offer so much. In Dundee itself, the RRS Discovery, Macmanus gallery, the Frigate Unicorn and the V&A are a 10 minute bus ride away. Verdant works is a 20 minute walk down hill on the way into the city centre.
