Two very spacious and very comfortable top floor rooms in a beautiful, very old home. The private bathrooms across the hall were excellent. (I understand the other third room has an en-suite). Tea making facilities and downstairs fridge use for...

Our Grade 2 listed Georgian home is in Crudwell, a village between Malmesbury and Cirencester in the heart of the Cotswolds. Guest accommodation is on the second floor with the benefit of its own staircase. Guests have a choice of three double rooms, all of which have their own bathroom. One is ensuite. One can be converted to a twin. Daniela and Tim would be delighted to welcome you and help you discover the local area. We are 15 minutes from junction 17 of the M4. The Cotswold towns of Malmesbury, Tetbury and Cirencester are all close by.
We have lived in Crudwell for nearly 10 years. Our time is spent walking the dogs, doing the garden and exploring the Cotswold countryside either on a bike or horseback. We enjoy travelling and the occasional game of tennis.
Crudwell is well situated for exploring the Cotwolds. A car would be advisable. Kemble station - with a direct service to London Paddington - is 5 minutes up the road by car and whilst there are taxis available, these are often booked up a long time in advance. The village has two pubs and a farm shop which serves coffee and pastries. Other places to eat nearby include the Rectory Hotel opposite and Sasa's Indian restaurant. Slightly further afield The Wheatsheaf in Oaksey or the Horse and Groom in Charlton are worth a visit. Our nearest town of Malmesbury has a selection of cafes, pubs and restaurants plus supermarkets. Breakfast options include The Summer Cafe and Michael's butchers. The Abbey is worth seeing. Tetbury is just over 10 minutes away with a good choice of eateries. Tetbury is close to Highgrove where King Charles III has a home. The gardens can be visited though you need to book well in advance. Another option is Westonbirt Arboretum. Cirencester's attractions include the Corinium museum, a Roman amphitheatre and Cirencester Parish church. The UNESCO world heritage city of Bath is 45 minutes by car. Bradford-on-Avon is also worth a look. Cotswold villages and towns you can visit include Bibury, Burford, Avening, Amberley, Minchinhampton, Nailsworth, Northleach, Lacock and Castle Combe. Stroud Farmers' market takes place on Saturdays. Cheltenham, Gloucester and Bristol are all within an hour's drive. Just let us know how you you'd like to spend your time and we'll make suggestions to suit.
