Property information

Clayton Wickham Farmhouse dates back to the 14th Century. It is set in 3 acres of grounds, in a quiet and secluded position and is approached down a long private lane, approx 1.5 km equidistant from the villages of Hurstpierpoint and Hassocks. Accommodation is in the main house together with 2 bedrooms in the adjacent 16th Century Barn. All areas are centrally heated with flat screen television/DVD in all bedrooms and bathrobes and slippers for your comfort. In the Barn rooms there are tea and coffee making facilities, but in the main house refreshments are served on request by way of personal room service. Breakfast is served in the Dining Room or, in the Summer, in our Garden Room and our guests are welcome to relax in the Drawing Room, where there is often a log fire in the huge inglenook fireplace. In the garden there are many quiet sitting areas together with a tennis court and croquet lawn, golf and riding are also available nearby. Brighton and Hove are about 12 km and Gatwick Airport and Newhaven Cross Channel car ferry are both about 20 minutes away by car and London is 50 minutes by train.
