Lovely quiet location, beautifully clean with great amenities. We took our 5 month old daughter and Julie had set up a crib for her and baby shampoo/mat for the bath which was so thoughtful.

This was a wonderful house for a short stay near to Bath. It is in a quiet cul-de-sac in Batheaston, and it was a very short walk to a bus stop for a frequent bus service into Bath. We enjoyed the local Fish and Chip Shop and walked up Solsbury...

The cottage was absolutely perfect for our group. There was plenty of room for all of us (3 adults and a toddler), and we were especially happy to have a potty, a high chair and a (good quality) baby cot. All these things made our stay much less...

1 Burgess Yard is the perfect cottage from which to explore the city of Bath and the surrounding countryside. Located in the beautiful village of Batheaston, just a 5 minute drive or 12 minute bus ride from Bath. The cottage provides guests with luxurious comfort and driveway parking for two or three cars. The kitchen is well equipped with all the conveniences you would need for your holiday, with luxury touches such as Nespresso coffee machine. The courtyard garden is secure and private with table and seating for 6 people. Number 1 Burgess Yard is a true home from home! Sleeps up to 6 people. Two double bedrooms (one of the bedrooms has a kingsize bed and a daybed which we can make into a single or double upon request). We provide all linen and towels. Large bathroom. Smart TV. Courtyard garden. Welcome pack. Travel cot and highchair available. Secure bike store. High speed and reliable Wifi. Private use of entire property. Security video doorbell.
I will be available by phone throughout your stay. I live 30 minutes away from the cottage but can offer as much help as necessary to make your stay as comfortable and problem free as possible. I try to personalise your stay depending on the guests who stay.
Baheaston is a beautiful village on the outskirts of the World Heritage city of Bath. With an abundance of history itself, it's worth exploring the village and surrounding countryside. Take a spectacular walk up Little Solsbury Hill (National Trust) for stunning views of the city, or explore St Catherine for its great walks and stunning countryside views. Bath and all of its attractions is a 50 minute walk away, or a 5 minute drive from the cottage. We encourage guests to explore Batheaston and take a walk into Bath along the canal towpath. It's a 50 minute walk. Or take a leisurely 2-hour cruise into Bath city centre from Bathampton along the Kennet and Avon canal (Sir John Knill Boat Trips). Local places to eat include Robbie's Plaice and Gather cafe, both in the centre of Batheaston, or the Bathampton Mill and The George pubs in Bathampton (a 10 minute walk away). You can also enjoy The Cafe on the Barge located on the canal or the Alice Park Cafe. In addition to the amazing visitor attractions and history of the city of Bath, 1 Burgess Yard is the perfect place from which to explore the Bath Christmas Market and Bath Christmas shopping. It's within easy reach of Longleat safari park and its incredible Christmas Festival of Light; Stourhead and the Christmas light display; and Westonbirt National Arboretum.
