24 Cathedral Yard, Cathedral View is the very best place to stay in the busy heart of Exeter. Unusually, it is in quiet sanctuary and has private and secure free parking just 5 minutes walk away. This luxury bed and breakfast suite of rooms including a hallway and a terrace within a vast apartment fronting the first floor of an 18th century mansion, overlooks the cathedral. It offers s a unique experience in a desirable location. It has its own front door and just inside, space to receive luggage, a seated entrance area with antique armchairs, a dresser and artwork. Two steps lead to a flowering terrace outside the bedroom window and table to enjoy morning coffee in the sunshine until midday. The bedroom is en-suite to a bright walk-in shower room, loo, wash basin etc and dressing room, with a large new OLED TV. Unlike in many boutique hotels, the bathroom window opens and there is proper daylight and lighting for ladies to do their make-up. Two opposing mirrored, floor-to ceiling double wardrobes via the en-suite bedroom create a dressing room area. Expect Egyptian cotton bed linen and towels, Nespresso machine, tea making facilities, parquet floor, underfloor heating and WiFi. Breakfast, included in the price is 'a la carte' with huge choice at The Ivy, just a few steps away It's a hop and skip from the best shops, cafes and restaurants and just 10 minutes walk from St Sidwell's Point, Exeter, the new leisure centre, complete with spa, sauna and a sea water swim!
On arrival Angela introduces guests to all the areas of the suite and facilities available and asks for any further ways she can help. Guests are invited to the hosting area overlooking the iconic cathedral for sparkling wine or freshly brewed coffee, choice of teas and "nibbles" or cake etc. to meet Edward, her husband an unusual widely educated, interesting and traveled aesthete with special interest in global innovation and economics, to learn more about their hobbies and lives and fill any narrative about the area. Seating is also available.
