On our numerous journeys around the globe we experienced what warm hospitality means and we want to pass this on, day by day. As a trained hotelier - Kathrin - and as a self-employed photographer - Andreas - we have a feel for what makes a perfect stay and what beauties our surroundings have in store for you. Hiking, bird watching and exploring the area characterise our private everyday life. We are happy to give you tips about the beautiful Languedoc to make your stay entertaining and interesting. After your excursions, enjoy the magnificent sunset with a glass of wine in one of our many lounges or forget the time reading an exciting book in the shade of the oaks!

Our Maison Catalina is nestled between vineyards, olive groves, the garrigue and the garden, which has been cherished for generations and is characterized by old holm oaks and native plants. The soul of Maison Catalina is hidden within 250-year-old walls that, thanks to our gentle renovations, combine the comfort of modernity and the charm of a Provençal country estate. On our ten hectares of land, you will discover numerous retreats; places to linger, enjoy and unwind. We are committed to preserving biodiversity and integrating ecological aspects into our daily lives: Locally purchased products, as well as homemade jams, yoghurt - soon also our own eggs, honey and fruits - can be found on our breakfast buffet. Begin the day leisurely, your breakfast in the shade of the holm oaks and micocouliers is the ideal start for the day. After your eventful day out, you will fall in love with our large swimming pool and sunset lounge!

In the surroundings of the Maison Catalina you will find endless possibilities to make your stay varied and exciting: Visit historic towns such as Montpellier, Pézenas, Lodève or Bézier. Go back in time to the history of mankind and marvel at dolmens that are 4000 years old. Excavations, bridges, the Via Domitia and an oppidum bear witness to Roman times. The Middle Ages left us castles, cathedrals and monasteries, like that of Valmagne, to name but one. Be active! Go horseback riding, mountain biking, rock climbing or more leisurely activities such as visiting local markets, museums, stalactite caves, olive oil presses and wineries. The river Herault and the Lac du Salagou invite you for canoeing and swimming. Or hike through vineyards, gorges, on plateaus, to hermitages, stone arches and peaks with views of the Pyrenees. UNESCO World Heritage sites are within easy reach: How about the village of Saint-Guilhem-le-Désert, the Canal du Midi or the Parc régional des Cévennes? Visit garden sites or original villages such as Montpeyroux or Aniane with castle complexes, wineries and a monastery.
