We made the move from the UK to France in the summer of 2021 and immediately fell in love with Eymet and our home. We look forward to welcoming you to Le Portanel.

Le Portanel is an impressive house 500m away from the square at the centre of the popular bastide town of Eymet. We have four spacious ensuite bedrooms, two rooms that face onto the main road into Eymet from Bergerac, and two that face onto our garden. They are all fully double glazed and there is air conditioning in the two rooms overlooking the road. Guests have use of a shared lounge with TV showing UK and French channels as well as an area with a fridge for guest's use and facilities for making tea and coffee. Our large garden has plenty of seating on the sunny terrace with a covered gazebo if you need shade. There is a semi-inground pool to cool off in during the summer months with a raised deck to lounge on when you need some down time. Le Portanel enjoys an excellent location for exploring the local towns and villages of the Dordogne and Lot-et-Garonne regions of the South West of France.

Eymet is a vibrant and popular town in the south of the Dordogne with an excellent location, allowing easy access to the airport and shops of Bergerac and close to many beautiful bastide towns such as Monflanquin, Villereal and Monpazier. There are numerous bars and restaurants catering to all tastes within easy walking distance of Le Portanel and the nearest supermarket is just 800m away. The town comes alive in the summer months when there are weekly night markets and various events in town, such as the famous Oyster and Wine Festival.
