Lodge MENDIA is a self-catering furnished apartment (70sqm) with 2 bedrooms which welcomes guests throughout the year : either tourists in holidays from many countries or workers in mission on the BAB (Biarritz/Anglet/Bayonne). It is situated 5 minute drive from the beach and 300m from Chiberta pine forest. Our central location nested in the heart of the BAB urban area makes Lodge MENDIA a great starting point to explore the Basque coast, the South of Landes and even our Spanish neighbours 30 km away. The apartment was equipped for your comfort and you will find in front of the Residence Mendia a private parking with 2 parking places especially for Lodge MENDIA (n°15 and n°16). The kitchen is entirely equipped to enable you to cook as easily as if you were at home… even if good restaurants do not miss around !!! You will also benefit from a sun balcony with outdoor furniture. As the property is non-smoking, this will be a comfortable place if you need to smoke. PLEASE NOTE : No animals are allowed inside the apartment. During the peak season (JULY and AUGUST), rentals are only per week/fortnight from Saturday to Saturday. The supply of bed linen and towels is an optional service. You can either : - bring your own linen (we will give you the dimensions of the beds) - or rent professional linen kits from our dry cleaner (extra fee specified in the section "The Fine Print"). The linen kits include bed linen (fitted sheet, flat sheet or duvet cover, pillow cases), bathroom linen (1 bath sheet + 1 towel per person, 1 bath mat) and kitchen towel.
As I travelled a lot and lived abroad, I know that renting a comfortable accommodation is not your only goal … you also want to experience the way of living, the local culture and the gastronomy. That’s the reason why, I will make you discover an authentic Basque Coast and try to communicate the convivial spirit of South-west of France. I will share with you my advices, my favorites and travel tips so you will take back home unforgettable memories. I built many LOCAL PARTNERSHIPS and thus will be able to help you organize a SURFING or GOLFING course, a stroll in STAND-UP-PADDLE and OUTRIGGER CANOE or even a THALASSOTHERAPY program ;-) MY LAST ADVISE : You should prefer OFF-SEASON to visit an authentic Basque Country. My favorite periods are spring (April/May/June), the Indian summer (September/October) or December and its Christmas and year-end local festivities. You will benefit from the Basque Country without being annoyed by tourist crowd but always with soft temperatures and the Basque spirit.
Lodge MENDIA is in the peace and QUIET of Monbrun residential district. Just a stone’s throw from the apartment, the new ECO-PARK of Maharin create animation in the neighbourhood with family gardens, pedestrian paths, picnic areas and 3 different CHILDREN’S PLAYGROUNDS for all ages. To complete the picture, hardly 300m further, you can discover and enjoy the CHIBERTA FOREST, a huge pine forest of 250 hectares furrowed by HIKING TRAILS, a fitness & health course and BICYCLE PATHS … a paradise for joggers and cyclists !!! Otherwise, you will find nearby CORNER SHOPS such as a delicious bakery-pastry, a convenience store, a pharmacy … and restaurants or café-bars. In Monbrun district, you will experience the FRENCH WAY of LIFE … all this, just 2.5 km from SANDY BEACHES, from Chiberta or Biarritz GOLF COURSES or from Atlanthal THALASSOTHERAPY Center !!!
