Located in a quiet area in Andermatt amidst the beautiful nature of the Swiss Alps, 850 metres from the Gemsstockbahn cable car station, The Chedi Andermatt combines Swiss hospitality tradition with Asian elegance. The Japanese by The Chedi: awarded 1 Michelin star and 16 GaultMillau points, located on Gütsch mountain — the highest-altitude Michelin-starred restaurant in Europe. A strong “Asia meets the Alps” concept is reflected throughout: in stylistic details, rituals, and culinary experiences at The Restaurant, which offers both Asian and European menus. Designed by renowned architect Jean-Michel Gathy, known for his iconic and immersive luxury hospitality projects worldwide. The architecture and interior design blend Eastern clarity with Swiss Alpine tradition. Materials include a refined interplay of wood, stone, and ambient lighting, enhancing the sense of warmth and sophistication. Over 200 uniquely designed fireplaces further enhance the alpine retreat ambiance. The hotel provides free ski storage. Guests can rent ski equipment directly on site. In addition, activities such as hiking, cycling, and cross-country skiing can be enjoyed in the area. Bicycles and e-bikes can also be rented at The Chedi Andermatt, and an exclusive ski and sports butler service is available.
