Welcome to The Darcie House. This cozy 2 bedroom bungalow is the perfect spot to unwind after busy days exploring Prince Edward County. We have thoughtfully curated and lovingly decorated this home, and we hope you (and your pet) love it as much as we do. That's right, it's pet-friendly! Located in downtown Picton, we are walking distance to amazing restaurants, cafes, grocery stores and shops. Check out @thedarciehouse for past reviews. We look forward to hosting you!
The Darcie House has a private entrance with self-check-in through a keypad. I will send you the code ahead of your visit. During your stay, I am always available by phone or email if you have any questions. I am also very happy to provide recommendations if you are new to the County (or even if you're not)! Feel free to message me in advance and I will share some of my favourites with you.
Our home is located in a quiet residential neighbourhood in Picton. Picton is the largest community in Prince Edward County and has so much to offer. The Darcie House is a 5 min walk to Picton Main Street (there is a grocery store right there)! If you continue walking along Main Street, you will come across several fantastic restaurants and great coffee shops, along with useful shops should you forget something (Rexall, Pet Valu, etc). If you want to explore all that The County has to offer, we are a short drive to Sandbanks Provincial Park (20 min) and the wineries (20-30 min, depending on the winery your heart desires). PEC has many other adorable neighbourhoods. We absolutely love Bloomfield (10 min drive) and Wellington (20 min drive) for their shops (antique and boutique), restaurants and breweries. You can easily walk to downtown Picton and all of its fabulous restaurants, coffee shops and boutiques. You will need a car to head out of town to Sandbanks Provincial Park and the wineries. You can only park in the driveway and not on the road in front of the house.
