The 300-year-old alley is located in the center of Antwerp, it is known as “Paardekensgang” (Horse Alley). The authentic houses are well-known as a tourist attraction. The alley and the houses have been kept in their original appearance. It is located in the most popular part of old Antwerp: the middle of center-south. Given the location, being in the heart of the town, it is amazingly quiet at night. Upstairs is a combination of a shower-room, toilet and an open bedroom with a double bed. Downstairs is a combination of an open kitchen, dining corner and small living space on an old stone floor. The house is fully equipped and it’s ready to warmly welcome 4 guests (maximum). Free wifi is available. We provide a Nespresso machine and enough coffee capsules for you to get by. There are plenty of cooking ingredients such as oil, pepper and salt and a small selection of herbs, so you can fix some simple meals. The Cathedral of Our Lady is 1.1 km. Groenplaats is 950 meters. ! Important: The staircase is steep and not recommended for people with walking difficulties.

You are staying in what is considered one of the best locations in Antwerp center. When you walk out and turn right, you come to Nationalestraat. Turn left and you will come to the area where the exclusive fashion designers of Antwerp are located. At the north end of that street is Groenplaats, that is the heart of Antwerp. Nearby the Meir starts, the most popular shopping street. On the other side, if you walk out and turn left, there are two pubs on the corners. Turn right at the pubs and down that street, you will find an antique shopping area where people go hunting for valuable vintage egg holders  This street will also lead you to Groenplaats and the cathedral of Antwerp. There are a few small-to-medium size supermarkets nearby. There are some bakeries on Vlaamsekaai, where perhaps you like to get fresh-baked French bread  In spite of being in the center of the town, it is relatively quiet and safe at night. We are sure that you would not be disturbed much by the street noise. The location is very convenient to get around on foot. Almost everything is within walking distance.
