During the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries, my ancestors were inn keepers and lodging house keepers providing accommodation for travellers in Cornwall and Devon, England.
From the 1970s, '80s and '90s I have treasured memories as a guesthouse host, providing "olde world" accommodation and scrumptious meals for guests visiting the Blue Mountains, New South Wales, Australia.
Now my accommodation hosting traditions continue with three high-rise and penthouse apartments in Darwin City, Northern Territory. The apartments “Newquay”, “Penzance” and “Padstow” are named after iconic towns in Cornwall loved by holidaymakers.
While the types of accommodation and hosting interactions have evolved significantly over the centuries, dedicated service to guests remains paramount. With technological advances by reservation agencies and telecommunications there is no longer a need to meet and greet guests.
However behind the scenes I have a great team of competent and caring people to maintain high service standards. My greatest pleasure is to offer guests a sensational accommodation experience and good value while staying in a top location.

Darwin City is the most northerly of the Australian capital cities with a population of about 150,000. The city is built upon a low bluff overlooking the harbour.
The Darwin region, like much of the Top End, experiences a tropical climate with a wet and dry season. During the dry season, the city has clear skies and mild sea breezes from the harbour. Darwin's wet season typically arrives in late November to early December and brings with it heavy monsoonal downpours and spectacular lightning displays that make great viewing from our apartments’ balconies.
The greater Darwin area is the ancestral home of the Larrakia people. On 9 September 1839, HMS Beagle sailed into Darwin harbour during its survey of the area. John Clements Wickham named the region "Port Darwin" in honour of their former shipmate Charles Darwin, who had sailed with them on the ship's previous voyage, which ended in October 1836.
Today Darwin offers many tourism adventures and great employment opportunities in a City that is more like a quintessential Australian town in the tropics..."
