Located at the end of a sealed country road, Peachtree Farm is 40 acres of peace and privacy. Head down the tree lined drive to the cottage, a comfortable place to retreat after a day spent exploring the historic Blue Mountains. Go for walks, explore the valley or gather around the outdoor fire pit to share a drink with your family and friends, watch the stars come out and enjoy the solitude. Megalong is a unique taste of Australian rural life. Surrounded by towering cliffs and majestic scenery, its home to great wineries like Dryridge Estate, Paddock to Plate restaurants, local Farmers Markets, Tea Rooms, bike trails, walking trails, horse-riding and more.
Hi I'm Sharon and I am delighted to share the beautiful and unique Megalong Valley with you. So close to Sydney yet you feel like you are a million miles away surrounded by pristine wilderness and amazing scenery. The cottage is self check-in and check out via a lockable key safe. You will be left to your peace and privacy however, we are only a phone call away and are always available to answer any questions you may have to help make your stay more comfortable. In case of emergencies someone will be on hand to help out.
Beneath the towering cliffs of the Blue Mountains Escarpment, Megalong is most often admired through the picture windows of the Hydro Majestic Hotel. From the moment you begin your descent from Blackheath down through the temperate rain forest of the Glen, you know you're in for something special. This quiet rural hamlet is now home to great wineries like Dryridge Estate and Megalong Creek Estate. Spend your morning hiking the historic Six Foot Track and reward yourself with a gourmet cheese platter and accompanying wines while you take in the awesome views. Don't forget to book lunch at Restaurant Lot 101, the famed paddock to plate by Chef Colin Barker or for more casual fare, the Megalong Tea Rooms. Every Saturday morning you can purchase wonderfully fresh, locally grown, farm gate produce. You'll love the fresh-baked sourdough and local honey, perfect for adding to your picnic feast by the river or in a shady glade!
