Very clean and comfortable room where everything worked. A real bonus was the little shared kitchen area with tea coffee and biscuits. Spacious dining room and two excellent roof terraces. Great for watching the sun go down over the old roof tops surrounded by screaming swifts. Elvas is a really interesting town and Concept is really well located near the top of the old town.

The owner is a great guy and the history of the building is amazing. It was owned by his grandmother and he has made it a welcoming space for travellers in her name. There is a generosity felt within the welcome of the space itself and noted with the free gifts, a glass of wine, a coffee, ice dispenser, free washing machine and tumble dryer. Wonderful map of The Fisherman's Walk, great selection of books and letters displayed from guests. Everything was very clean.

Stylish accommodation, lots of help from the ladies at the front desk. Spotless, well equipped kitchen. There would be room in the lounge cabinet for a book exchange, that would be a nice touch.

This is a unique, memorable place to stay, full of character and history and local feeling, with a super friendly and attentive host. It is totally quiet except for the birds, with a great location near to Castelo Vide, Marvão, and the Serra. The rooms are spacious and filled with light from big windows. The common area had lots of information and books on the area. The breakfast was simple but nourishing, with freshly baked bread, jam, butter, cheese, granola, yogurt, juice, and coffee. You might come here for the Instagram photos... but you will stay for the quality of the experience! Thank you!

Well what a ‘gem’ of place to stay in whilst visiting Mourão. We did not expect what we found and as soon as were greeted by the lovely Cristina and walked through the very small door into what I can only describe as a ‘tardis’, we were quite blown away. This place is fantastic and belongs to a lady named Maria who is an artist and has her studio on the premises. Her artwork is all around the house and so are her Mum’s sculptures. The house is amazing and so spacious which surprised us, because from the outside it is quite deceiving. We were lucky and managed to park on the road opposite the house, but the roads are very narrow and if you can’t find anywhere outside, there are some parking spaces in the little square which is a few minutes walk from the property. Our room was on the ground floor and had a good size double bed and a fantastic walk-in shower in the bathroom. We were made to feel very welcome and Cristina could not do enough for us. There is a great local Portuguese restaurant a couple of doors down from the house and where we had dinner and then a short walk to the square, which is the hub of the town and where everyone gathers to sit and drink their wine at the local bar there. The breakfast was fantastic and again made and served by Cristina. There is a lovely garden outside with plenty of seating available and there is also a roof terrace with sun-loungers, where you can lounge and watch the sun go down. We did not want to leave and will definitely stay here again. This is such good value for money and I would recommend anyone to stay here, if visiting Mourao.
