The people are the best around - Carlos, Patricia, Jake and the rest of the gang are absolutely impeccable. They make you feel like family, cannot do enough and are just generally awesome human beings. Jake is also an awesome musician, and chef. Carlos is the king of Casavia - ensuring smooth stay for everyone and has an unbreakable bond with the dogs, and just generally makes you feel safe and looked after. Super clean, and the cleaners (whose names I’ve forgotten - sorry!) are super lovely and working super hard to keep the place spotless. Beds are the best I’ve ever had in the whole of my time in Asia. Kitchen facilities awesome. Views of the sea. Great location. Pretty much a private beach nearby? Showers in the jungle? What more could you ask for. Obsessed with the shelves you get inside your pod. This was a place you could fully unpack and make a “home”; which is why I stayed for 3 weeks - and why you should too.

It was offseason and except for a few nights I was the only guest. I extended two times, not just because the beauty of this place but also because of the staff who made me feel very welcomed and like home!

It’s nice that the hostel is located directly within the community there! Many kids playing in front of the hostel and it makes them super happy if you join them, very heart warming. The beach is also just 3min walk away and the stuff is super friendly and helpful! Recommend staying there :)

Haole Surf Hostel se găsește în General Luna, la 8,7 km de Guyam Island, și are un lounge comun, un bar și parcare privată gratuită. Sir JJ and Gino were great hosts, providing recommendations on what you can do around the island and help when requested. They helped with arranging transport from and to the airport and also arranged motorbike for me to use to go around the island. Their restaurant in the location serves great food and great atmosphere. On the nights, the area was very peaceful, and I was able to get a good night sleep. Also very close to the beach, mini-shops, cafés and walkable distance.

Christian was my favorite staff and he made sure to take care of any requests to make sure my stay was perfect. The rooms were also very clean, beds were comfortable, and the space was very private with a closable wooden door. There is even a closet for your clothes in your pod! There are always people socializing in the lounge and restaurant area, and Sunday nights are their big party across the street from the hostel in their beach club. I will definitely be staying here again during my next visit to Siargao!
