I don't usually stay in hostels but I was pleasantly surprised by MedioMundo. The bed's were very comfortable and had curtains for added privacy. The bathrooms were spotless pretty much all the time. Would definitely recommend for a good value for money stay in Montevideo

This hostel is much more than a hostel. It is a very nice community, especially because the staff - Pato and Pablo- are extraordinaryly welcoming, open and warm hearted. Casa Copada is located in a lively neighborhood, you can reach almost all places of interest by walking. I will definitely return! Thank you, chicos!

Lovely little house in a great location. 15min by bike from the old town (through the rambla) and 10min by foot from the beach. But the best part is the 2 hosts Vincent & Michael. They opened this hostel not long ago and are doing everything they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. You are more of a guest in the house, as they are genuinely happy to hear your story and how you got there, caring, and very helpful giving advice on what to do in Uruguay and how. I truly wish them all the best of luck. About the house, they are finalizing things so it is not perfect yet, but the living room is already cozy with sofas, Netflix and big table to work/eat, the kitchen is not big but equipped, the bathrooms are clean and new, & the rooms are comfy with AC/heater. Oh and there is a rooftop to get some fresh air or prepare a nice asado/BBQ.

Charruas hostel has free bikes, garden, a shared lounge and bar in Montevideo. Located around 1.3 km from Ramirez, the hostel with free WiFi is also 1.4 km away from Tres Cruces Terminal Station.
