The hostel stories has a perfect location and very homely vibe. I made many friends and we all used to cook and eat together everyday. The host is very friendly and i shared lots of stories with him and could talk for hours. The beach is extremely close to the property with just 2 mins walking distance. I could also work from hostel with high speed wifi through out the day. I would definitely recommend this hostel for long term stay, workation stay or just weekend getaway.

I really enjoyed my staying in this hostel and kept extending my stay :) Everything was great, friendly staff, location, clean rooms. There was option for fan and ac room also. I highly recomend to stay in Barefood Varkala!

I just checked out of Haust, Varkala, after an amazing stay. The place was peaceful and quiet, offering a perfect retreat. Wasim, the caretaker, was incredibly helpful, guiding me with bike rentals, the best food spots, and must-visit places. The property was well-maintained and had a fantastic vibe. .

I highly recommend this recently-opened hostel with a lovely personnel ready to help. All amenities are new and clean. There is a nice rooftop space with a nice view toward the sea.

Great location in a quiet area if Varkala by the south cliff. Rooms are comfortable, clean, common areas are great and the staff is very nice and helpful. Great masala dosa also!

the simplicity of the staff and how helpful they are. I have travelled a lot and there are few places where I have felt the homely vibes. Soul was one of such places. The staff is friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. They make sure to clean the bathrooms neat and tidy. I was skeptical in the start as it is a new property but my stay was one of the most splendid ones in my travel timeline this year. Ask for the family lunch and dinner they serve. I had preordered and it was delicious and very homely unlike too spicy masala in the cliff cafes. Do not miss to have a quality conversation with Soham.

This place is not only great for socializing, but also for unwinding and enjoying some downtime. With its vast garden and lively bar, there's always something to do or see, whether you're into surfing or just lounging around. I had an amazing time here and will definitely be returning.
