It's a small hotel in the historic center walking distance to a lot of the places you would like to see in Funchal. The room and facilities are simple, modern, comfortable, and clean, The staff are polite, friendly and very helpful. The breakfast (included in the room price) is basic but sufficient for my needs, with a variety of breads, cereal, cold cuts cheese, hardboiled eggs, yogurt, fruit, coffee/tea etc. The AC in the room worked well. I would happily stay here again if I returned to Funchal.

Ühise puhkeruumi ja mäevaatega Refúgio das Fontes asub Senhora do Rosários, 20 km kaugusel Porto Monizi looduslikest basseinidest ja Girao neemest. Host was really clear in the instructions and willing to help with anything we needed. The house is really spacious and clearly well taken care of. The hot tub is a nice touch. The shower was perfect. We want to mention how grateful we are for the flexibility of our host, with a special request of ours... It really helped us out when we needed it. Would recommend this place to stay at. Kitchen well equipped, coffee machine was nice, fridge was nice and big.

Hiljuti renoveeritud S A L - Beach Apartments Caniçal asub Machicos, Pedradeira ja Ribeira do Natali randade lähedal. Rannaäärsel majutusasutusel on rõdu. Külalistemajas on peretoad. Great place. New. Balcony in Room 5 was nice to sit and have a beer from the local supermarket (the coffee/pastry shop and small supermarket right past the church are great - staff speak either great English or pretty good English). We overlooked the water- nice. I posted a pic from the balcony. There was also a skylight over the bed if you like stars. Housekeeping was wonderful, and we asked Pedro (very very responsive) for extra towels on Saturday because they're off on Sunday. No problem. Fridge is nice, coffee/pods provided in room were also great, but it was nice to wander down to one of the shops after a day of hiking/sightseeing and sit and have a cup outside. Also- nice places to eat all around, O Recante was fabulous (oh, I'll remember that dessert for a long time) and we had a super nice inexpensive dinner at Muralha's Bar. I can't find any fault with the place other than what I'm sure will be a brief one as they're apparently enlarging the parking area (if they haven't finished already!).

Horizon Retreat in Calheta provides adults-only accommodation with an infinity pool and a garden. Private parking is available on site at this recently renovated property. Very nice location, super friendly host! The garden and swimming pool are awesome, we got many tips where to eat and what to do. Overall the western part of the island was great and rather quiet compared to the rest. Good choice!

Hiljuti renoveeritud külalistemaja Profetas GuestHouse asub Porto Santos, Porto Santo rannast 1,1 km kaugusel. Kohapeal on aed ja aiavaated. Majutusasutusest avaneb vaade linnale ja vaiksele tänavale.... The breakfast was absolutely delicious. It was a beautifully presented and the variety of foods was extensive. Best breakfasts on our two week vacation in Portugal.

The apartment is gorgeous and spotless clean. The host is very available, responsive, friendly and welcoming. Check in is completely seamless. The property has a beautiful, sizable garden with a great view of the town and ocean. My partner and I absolutely loved our stay in this property because of all the attention to detail that the host put towards the furnishing and decoration of the apartment, which is a rarity. Some places are furnished expensively but in an impersonal and cold style, but this one is truly someone's home, with great character, that the host is sharing with you.

Panoramic House asub Quinta do Almeidas Lugar de Baixo ranna lähedal ja 3 km kaugusel Ribeira Brava rannast. Majutusasutusel on terrass, kust avaneb vaade vaiksele tänavale, aed ja ühine puhkeruum. All that you could want in a guesthouse from the customer service, the size of the room, the amenities and the cleanliness. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again. The location I great for exploring the island outside of Funchal.
