Het huis.is nieuw, dus nog fris. Jonge eigenaar Karun doet erg zijn best. (Hij is bijvoorbeeld de matrassen aan het vervangen. Of ik dat in mijn review even wilde noemen... 😀) De locatie is prachtig aan één van de mooiste watertjes, waar we voor een kanotocht werden opgehaald. Goede prijs-kwaliteit verhouding.

Munroeisland Backwaters Homestay ligt op 24 km van treinstation Kollam en 44 km van Varkala-klif, en heeft gratis WiFi en een terras. We loved staying at Vijeesh’s homestay. His entire family was welcoming and provided delicious meals, interesting tours and entertainment (adorable niece performances). We truly enjoyed our canoeing through the canals at sunrise and sunset. Don’t miss this stop on your visit to Kerala.

Mamatha Guest inn ligt in Hampi en heeft een terras en gratis WiFi in de hele accommodatie. Het pension heeft familiekamers. Alle kamers bij het pension hebben een balkon. Overall a wonderful experience. The hospitality and humble nature of the owners. Food also was good.

We had three nights planned in Munnar, booked Soly's Homestay for the first night, and ended up staying longer for the confort of the place (we got a room with beautiful view) and for the AMAZING BREAKFAST prepared by Soly. Soly and her husband's hospitality and kindness are beyond every experience we had in India.

Asfal and his friends are friendly and easy to talk to, and they give great tips on what to see and do in the area. The rooms are clean and spacious, and the atmosphere is wonderfully relaxed. Waking up to a view of the green trees, with a cup of good coffee is pure bliss. It’s incredibly peaceful, with the occasional playful troop of monkeys on the roof to break the silence, peeking curiously at you as they play. In short, the perfect spot to recharge before diving back into colorful, bustling India. P.S. Asfal also helped us with the next leg of our trip. He arranged a taxi driver to take us to the Alleppey, and along the way shared lots about the history of Kerala and India, tea plantations, and Hinduism. We made several stops and got to try local sweets – highly recommended!

Hele lieve en behulpzame eigenaresse. Een medewerker van het verblijf heeft mij nog geholpen met een lift en het regelen van een sim-kaart. Goeie plek, relaxte locatie en alles op 15 minuten loopafstand.
