It was a 5 minute walk to the main street which had a large selection of restaurants and stores. The receptionist was really helpful and laid out where the monasteries were located and how to approach visiting them (which was very helpful). She also referred us to a very fine restaurant where we enjoyed one of our finer meals in Greece. Had the train been working (the floods prevented that), it would have been 1 minute to walk from the train station to the hotel. Location is very good.
