If you don't have a car but you want to spend a night in the mountains and do some hiking or walking or even cycling, this is a great affordable option for which to base yourself at for a night or two. The rooms are pretty basic, but the shower works fine, with plenty of hot water. There is wifi (though a little slow), the room was pretty clean. There were nice views over parts of town and nearby mountains. There are a few supermarkets and places to eat within easy walking distance. They didn't stint on toilet paper. I don't think it has air conditioning though, which may make it ick during the summer depending on weather. But it is what you'd expect from a one or two star hotel, and for €30, can't go wrong if you want to visit Bustarviejo.

Hostal Madrid Paris is situated in Buitrago del Lozoya, a charming medieval town just an hour’s drive north of Madrid. It offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and barbecue facilities. Everything was great! The hotel is quite cozy and safe, the staff are friendly and supportive, and the food is good. I am most grateful to the owner who warmly greeted us when we arrived really late at night (at 1 am).
