The location, very value for price! The family that runs it, they are always smiling and helping you. They took us to the bus station with the Tuk Tuk and helped us on how to get to Yala by bus. The view from the terrace is stunning!

A beautiful place surrounded by greenery and the wonderful sounds of nature. It’s just a 10-minute ride by tuk-tuk or scooter to the center of Ella. The room is spacious and clean, with hot water in the shower. The family running this place is absolutely lovely and very helpful. You are always in touch with the daughter, who patiently answers every question and helps organize anything you might need. The breakfast is local, large, filling, and very tasty. The property is currently being expanded, and more rooms will be available in the future, but for now, there is just one. However, it definitely has great potential, and it’s a must-visit to experience the local atmosphere and meet incredibly kind, friendly, and smiling people. I highly recommend it!

This place is incredible :) our best accomodation in Sri Lanka. View is spectacular, we can see Ravana waterfall from bed. Room is very clean, cosy, owners thought about everything: hot shower, fridge, cool glasses and water, shampoo and shower gel, we can use even hairdryer here! Tasty, local breakfast, juices, coffee. Very kind and helpful owners, we felt very comfortable and spent fantastic time here. Highly recommend! Thank you for having us 🌸

This place is one of our favorites in Sri Lanka, with an amazing host, Teesha, who is incredibly kind and eager to provide guests with fantastic experiences. It's also great for animal lovers, thanks to the owner's friendly dogs. With just two rooms, we stayed in the Deluxe Double Room with Balcony, a little slice of paradise. The room boasts a luxurious, spacious bathroom and breathtaking views, especially of the sunrise and sunset. Its location is excellent, just a short walk from Ella's main street. The breakfasts, enjoyed with a stunning view, were exceptionally good and the perfect way to start the day. Truly one of the best and most unique places to stay in Ella. The view from the bedroom was one of the best views I have ever had, looking over the mountains and valleys was incredible! I was fortunate to also be the second person to stay in the newest room, and it was incredible! Great layout, lots of space and waking up to incredible sunrises was an amazing experience! Lovely host family, very welcoming. Amazing views from the terraces on each level. Rooms are comfortable with hot water showers and air con. Great breakfast in the morning. We asked for omelettes the second day and this was not a problem. Just bear in mind there is a very steep hill down to the accommodation so bear in mind if you have any difficulty mobility wise. The Main Street is very close for restaurants etc and the walk to the nine arch bridge and little Adam’s peak is quite close from the homestay.

We really loved our stay in Happy Horizon Home Stay. Very nice owners, great breakfast, beautiful view, ... You can easily reach Ella town by foot and Happy Horizon Homestay is the ideal starting point for a hike to Ella rock.

Great place, just out of town,ealkable or plenty of tuktuks avail. just a note,its up a few flights of stairs so would be difficult for someone with mobility issues to access. Beautiful views, wonderful breakfast. Lovely host family.
