Excellent guest house, I highly recommend the view for your stay in Padang or Mentawai. Robert (British) picked me up from the airport for 250,000 idr. The guest house is located a few minutes from the town centre and the Mentawai ferry port. It is on the hill side, 100m above the beach with an incredible view of the ocean. The sunsets are magnificent. Unlike the city centre, the place is very quiet so you can sleep very well. The rooms are very clean and bright and the largest room upstairs has a balcony with a breathtaking view. One room has its own bathroom and the shared bathroom is spacious, clean and has a real shower with hot water. I was supposed to stay for 2 days, I went back for another 10 days. You can rent a scooter at the guest house or ask Robert to take you somewhere (leaving a tip is always good). You can use the washing machine for free. Coffee, tea and hot and cold water are free as well . You can eat on the premises or in the restaurants on the street. There is a choice of breakfast (Indonesian or continental). Robert and his wife are very welcoming and accommodating and does his best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. So after having stayed in several hotels in Padang, I will only come back here.

Padang homestay was great place to stop for an evening en route to the Mentawai Island. The rooms were comfortable - we slept well - and it was walking distance from food, laundry and other essential shops. Hosts were helpful and kind. I would’ve loved to stay another night or two and explored Padang.

We very like this homestay where we stayed 4nights. Easy to communicate in English with Feby, our super host who helped us in many ways : sim card, atm, taxi driver, laundry,... The guesthouse is very nice with garden, secure parking, a lot of place for kids can play, ... kitchen, fridge, air con, laudry available. The room was confortable with big bed and the pillow and bed sheets were so soft and confortable. All is perfect. We will come back again!

    Warm and welcoming- like an old fashioned B and B within a lovely family home with great ‘locals only’ knowledge. Ocean views stunning! Fantastic value for the price and safe for the single traveler. They even have air conditioning and hot water shower!

    It is all about location, location, location. The view is exceptional. Room was clean, quiet, and very comfortable. Nice bed. Robert was a great host and super helpful. The homestay is still relatively new, but he's been in the area for years and knows it very well. Took a one day tour with him and a few other guests. It was fantastic. Things, culture, people, and places I never would have found otherwise. Wish I could have stayed longer.

    This is a real home stay, probably the best in West Sumatra. The family members are welcoming, friendly, and helpful. We could only stay three nights and wished we could stay longer. The rooms are clean, basic, and comfortable.

    quiet little homestay just outside padang with amazing sunset views. rooms are simple but clean. Robert is a great host, providing information and pick up service from/to airport/ferry. they also rent out a scooter to explore the area. great place to stay if you prefer a more quite surrounding and don't mind a 10 minute scooter ride to the city for shopping eat
