Cannot recommend House Nobrega highly enough. The accommodation itself was lovely, but it was the extras that put it over the top. Other than the weekend, they cleaned everyday (like a hotel), provided a small snack, gave us wine, and really made us feel welcome. The pool was gorgeous but too cold for us to use. Parking, as has been mentioned, was tricky but doable after a few tries. The location is so quiet and perfect for hikes. Overall such a fantastic, welcoming place to stay.

The beginning of the Madeira Levada walks start 6 km from the property. Very quiet and relaxing place. We enjoyed our stay very much. The breakfast was good. our little house was clean and comfy. The staff was friendly and helpful. I recommend and would come back.
