This lodge is absolutely spectacular and very unique. Xavier, the owner, is phenomenal. Peter and I had great discussions with him. Lots of fun and laughter. He is an extremely interesting person. Superb food. Great surroundings. The "golden wildebeests" and the "kissing giraffe" on the property are very special. Noteworthy are the 1928 Bugatti and the Triumph motorcycle in the living room. There are vintage cars all over the property. I have never seen a more interesting place like the Hippomoon Lodge. As a world traveller I must admit that this is one of the most spectacular, interesting and fun place I have ever stayed at. Highly recommendable!!!!!! Thanks Xavier!

The hosts and staff were excellent! We were in Nelspruit on an emergency basis and they catered for not only our arrival time which we couldn't confirm, our eventual early arrival, offering to assist us to find other accommodation once we had to leave but also catering for my brother and I who are T1 Diabetics - they had catered for us with so much care and adapted the breakfast appetizer for us. The decor in the hotel is gorgeous and it is so clean! Thank you for constantly checking in on our family and for making our stay so comfortable considering the circumstances we were dealing with. If we ever pass through Nelspruit or visit again - we will definitely be booking with The Coral Tree!
