The room was of good size, spotless and the beds were very comfortable. The guest house offers an excellent atmosphere, very quiet and relaxed. Dinners were excellent, a real treat. We will certainly love to come back, anytime.

Also close to so many lovely restaurants and the guesthouse has a cafe too. The staff were so lovely and nice too, very accommodating. Highly recommended.

What an amazing place and warm, wonderful hosts Paolo and Carla make you feel like old friends. Beware, booking.com's directions take you to the wrong house. Follow Google maps to Quinta da Menina Guest house instead and you won't get lost. The place seems brand new but charming. It's spotless and gorgeous. The pool is crystal clear and breakfast is fantastic. Don't make the mistake we made and only book one night. You are going to want to stay at this beautiful oasis and explore the wine area for, at least, a few days. I would have stayed forever if I could.

We stayed in casa sousão on Quinta do monte Travesso. The house itself is very private, with a short trip through an amazing vineyard and dirt road. Once you arrive, your view is just absolutely stunning. This is a perfect house for large family or 3 couples, each room has its own ensuite. The hosts of the Quinta are very friendly and accomodating, they will fill your fridge with everything you need from eggs, milk and ham and cheese. Every morning you will receive fresh bread for breakfast. They also leave a bottle of their amazing red wine on the dining table, but make sure you also try their white wines which are very easy to drink and will have you going back for a case. I can’t praise how much we loved staying here…book it and you won’t regret it!

We can't recommend this accommodation more for a long weekend in the Douro Valley, off-street and secure parking was another huge bonus!
