Very efficient up to date de longhi heater, although apartment was nice and warm. We were very happy with the area and just far enough from city to feel the peace . Good walking paths besides river. Look forward to a return visit.

We had a very warm welcome despite our hosts being called away for urgent business. The apartment is delightful, very comfortable with a super welcome pack of food and beverages. The location in the heart of the country is excellent with a beautiful view of the mountains. When the sky was clear the skies were so dark we not only saw the Southern Cross but also the Milky Way. We would stay again and are already recommending the accommodation to others.

The location is amazing, 10 minutes out from Matamata surrounded by beautiful mountain and farmland scenery. Brenda was very welcoming and friendly. Her cat even more so! The bed was to die for and it was lovely to relax in the hot tub in the evening. My daughter loved the garden with the play equipment and little Hobbit hole. Great location to go to Hobbiton and Tauranga.

Andrea and Mike were wonderful hosts, personally welcoming us to accommodation and guiding us to the best local eats and things to do. The room was large, including the bathroom and provided us everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The accomodation backs directly onto a park and tennis court, and provides access to the main strip with the local pub, cafe and convenience store. We also walked to Cathedral Cove from the accomodation via the beach (and pathway that has a sign not to walk though but found it was still walkable, just overgrown plants), it must of taken about an hour to walk each way (the walk is much longer and hilly than I had anticipated, but its a beautiful walk along the coastline so you can take your time and enjoy the view). Its also a 10min drive to Hot Water Beach, and loved that the shovels are provided.

The apartment was very spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with food and with kitchen ware. Our host Andria looked after us as if we were close family. This beautiful house is surrounded by the most wonderful garden....the roses were in bloom and the colours were breathtaking.
