Classic traditional hotel steps away from the Temples and cultural sites of Bhaktapur. The rooms are comfortable with good WiFi. This family owned gem is well worth the budget price. Highly recommend. I stayed here multiple times while traveling in Nepal.

Good facility with plenty of solar powered hot water, clean, well situated at the center if Kathmandu, away from the more touristy Thamel, very safe. A genuine Nepalese experience in a great neighbourhood. I stayed February/March 2025 and only left because it was fully booked beyond the dates I initially booked. Im hopeful its available next trip! Bobby owns and operates the place and made my stay awesome, picked me up from the airport and took me to many places it would have been difficult to arrange to go to; showed me all the essential shops in the area (theres a great convenience store downstairs) and gave me many tips on how to navigate the city's peculiarities. U will find many sitting spots in the complex where u can work peacefully or just enjoy the quiet atmosphere. Attached to it is the nunnery and also a beautiful garden. It’s only 6m walk to the Stupa. Near the entrance there is a new clinic in case u need to do some checks. Many local restaurants are nearby. The price is modest and funds the nunnery 🙏🙏🙏

Clean and good size room, the staffs are all so helpful and kind, very pleasant personality. Good hot shower even on rainy day. As I kept the window open at night so it's slightly noisy but I use the earplugs and slept like a baby.

Zen Nest Hotel se encuentra en Katmandú, a 3,1 km de Templo de Swayambhunath y a 5,1 km de Templo Pashupatinath. The owner and the staff were incredibly helpful and very welcoming. They were always ready to answer questions and give directions and even recommended a good restaurant and timing for momo. The owner also helped me to book the tourist bus without charging any commission. The room was simple but very clean and well-maintained. I love my short stay here. I will definitely reserve a stay here if I ever visit Kathmandu again.
