The rooms are comfortable and all facilities are absolutely immaculately clean. The staff were a true highlight of the stay. they were all so incredibly friendly and helpful. Everything was just great and we plan to return next season.

One of the Hakuba ski resorts is in walking distance and the food at dark horse was outstanding. The hotel is super clean, beds are incredibly comfortable, it’s nice and and warm everywhere, and dogs are welcome. We’ll be coming back for sure.

Helpful, friendly staff and a nice common room to meet other guests. I've stayed in a lot of hostels and this is was perhaps my favourite ever in terms of comfort.

The owner was so helpful with suggestions and tips prior to our arrival and the staff looking after the lodge were so friendly, very helpful and extremely customer focused. I would highly recommend the lodge.

The property is around 700 metres from Hakuba Happo Bus Terminal and 1.2 km from Happo One Ski Resort. The property is really clean and very comfortable. It’s so close to restaurants, convenient store and the Hakuba bus station. The most I like is the owner of the property treated us like the family or I think more than family. They picked up and dropped us from and to the bis station, showed the restaurant, and dropped and pickup us to ski resort. The owner, Chikako san helped us to find Ski school for our children who experienced snow for the first time. The other co owner, Koji san even helped us to talk to Ski school that didn’t speak good English. We will definitely come back again.

It was a nice mix of Japanese and Western styles. With a good selection. The staff were always on hand to help out.
