The guest house features family rooms. great location! About 5 minutes walk to tsujiki market, train station and bus stops. Walking distance from several famous shrines and temples, and a lot of local eateries within walking distance as well. Great beer just down the road too. Host is extremely helpful, friendly, and responsive even late at night. Was extremely lucky to get a room here during peak season considering they have a total of only four rooms. Rooms here are also more spacious than many hotels I've stayed at in kyoto and Japan in general. Will definitely come back!

Mrs Haruda and her husband are the kindest people ever!! We were 2 adults and 2 children the house has everything we needed, super clean, close to all the the tourist places we wanted to go. It’s 2 minutes walking from a big supermarket. Mrs Haruka is adorable, helped us with everything, we felt like if we were visiting our family, she took her time to explain to us where were the best tourist attractions and how to use the train and underground, her house is just 3 minutes walking from it. Location is in a residential area, making it a quiet respite after a whole day of sightseeing, while still being conveniently close to the center. Breakfast was also tasty and kindly brought into the room daily. Emiko-san and her family were very welcoming and accommodating. She even gave me a ride to Kyoto Station on my last day and always checked on me daily to see how I was. Very kind family. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit!

That was my little treat during my trip and it was amazing. The house has been restored as new but keeps its traditional soul you feel like going back on time in the Edo period. The owners were so kind, patient and welcoming that I felt like home in Japan. The private room is impeccable with a touch of modernity.
