Miyajima Guesthouse Mikuniya is a traditional Japanese-style guesthouse located on Miyajima (Itsukushima). We stayed at a separate room which is not inside the main building. The room was spacious and had a private shower and bathroom. The main building of the guest house is very cosy and welcoming and the free dinner and breakfast are a great bonus. The washing machine and dryer were very fast and efficient.

We stayed one night during our 2-day biking tour on Shimanami Kaido. Location was perfect: close to some good restaurants and basically on the bike route. We stayed in a mixed dorm, which was very clean and well-organised. Common shower rooms were very clean. The luggage transfer to our next stop (which was the bike rental in Imabari) worked perfectly.

Cafe Onzo is small but comfortable and the host makes extra effort to give you a good stay. The cat is friendly. The location is very central in Setoda township so you can walk to ferries, the art gallery, the Kosanji shrine and hill of hope, and to local restaurants.

The couple that owns the place is super nice and hospitable. The guesthouse is well located in the middle of the Shimanami Kaido just a little bit off the blue line. Everything is clean and well organized, the room was super comfortable which was much needed after a long day of cycling. Really recommend to stay here if you’re doing the cycle!

Koji is the most generous owner and genunely welcome to help. He picked us up from the port and even picked us up from another port in the night time (we survived from the most adventurous journey - thankful to Koji!). Talk about the place: the guesthouse is cozy and warm. The shared facilities included kitchen and washing machine. The price of ramen and washing pods are the same price in the convenience store and may be cheaper. E-bikes are also provided with the cheap rate (1000 yen/day).

Pension Le Passage - Vacation STAY 11300v está en Tottori, a 15 min a pie de Playa de Hakuto, y dispone de alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Quiet charming inn along the ocean front. It’s not far from attractions and restaurants, accessible by car.

Da Fern está en Sakaiminato, a 16 min a pie de Mizuki Shigeru Road y a 23 km de Museo Conmemorativo Lafcadio Hearn. Ofrece alojamiento con jardín y wifi gratis, además de parking privado gratis. It was a short yet a great stay- a truly relaxing place. We loved that the area was convenient, even the guesthouse itself was well-equipped. The owner was friendly and helpful. He made sure we would have a comfortable stay and we did.

滔々 倉敷民藝館南の宿 toutou, Mingeikan Minami no Yado se encuentra en Kurashiki, a 8,6 km de Mizushima Ryokuchi Fukuda Park y a 10 km de Tanematsuyama Park, y ofrece habitaciones con wifi gratis. Absolutely loved our stay here - felt very luxurious with some nice touches like heated floor tiles and automatic toilet lid opening! There’s also plenty of room and a gorgeous view to the river.

Minpaku Yorozuya - Vacation STAY 12905 se encuentra en Kurayoshi, a 49 km de Tottori Sand Dunes, y ofrece alojamiento con wifi gratis y parking privado gratis. Cannot recommend this place enough! The owners were super friendly and helped us figure out the best route to get to see all the attractions. They even invited us to a matcha ceremony and showed us around a bit! If you happen to want to visit Hokuei, you need to check out this place. We will be back again, for sure :)
