Boasting a balcony with quiet street views, a bar and a shared lounge, Il Meraviglioso Mondo di Amélie can be found in Agrigento, close to Teatro Luigi Pirandello and 14 km from Scala dei Turchi. We loved the location, right in the center of Agrigento town, a few steps off the main street. Close to shops, cafes, restaurants and sights. The main street was buzzing from locals' strolls (we were there in the off season), and had a lovely atmosphere. Even the walk to the Valley of the Temples (outside of town) took no longer than 40 minutes, on paved sidewalk (there is a bus service for those who prefer that). Our room was perfectly clean and well designed, equipped with everything we needed for a 3 days' stay. Orazio checked us in and made sure we had all the information and amenities we needed. We appreciated the attention to details, the cookies, candies, bottled water, toiletries. Martina, a lovely and hospitable lady served us the exceptional breakfast. We had never seen anything alike in Italy, this breakfast had literally everything you can wish for, we called it gourmet breakfast, absolutely abundant, delicious, and served with style! All in all, Amelies's is a wonderful accommodation, highly recommended, especially for couples!

Situated in Agrigento, in a historic building, 14 km from Scala dei Turchi, Villa Amoroso - Ospitalità Mediterranea is a recently renovated guest house with a garden and shared lounge. Villa Amaroso is a real gem! It is set within its own gorgeous garden right at the top of Agrigento old town, and our room also had a terrace with an incredible view out over the Valley of the Temples. Plus Adriano was full of great recommendations to enjoy Agrigento and the surrounding area. We stayed three nights and wish we could have stayed three more!

Four Rooms Catania is a recently renovated guest house in the centre of Catania, 2.4 km from Lido Arcobaleno and 800 metres from Catania Piazza Duomo. Everything was great – they responded very quickly to all questions, there was no problem checking into the room late in the evening. The room was newly renovated, clean, and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Great location and breakfast. Highly recommended.
