Mountain Ecolodge se află în Gubukklakah, la aproximativ 23 km de Velodrome Malang și la 24 km de Bentoel Museum. This is the biggest surprise of my Indonesia trip! This place located in a small town near Malang. It runs by a family and Mrs. Mary took 2 of her independent rooms as hotel. There is super nice mountain view and the whole atmosphere is sooo chill. The room is quite big. The host even gave us some passion fruits and papaya grown from their farm. It is not far from Mt. Bromo and Tumpak Sewu - both takes 1.5h to drive there. There are hardly any tourists in this small town and when we were walking to a restaurant, the people were so curious and greeting us friendly, the kids on the street waved to us and say hello. It was such an amazing experience! The sunset of with rice field view in the small town is also really really beautiful. There is also a good and modern restaurant 20 min walk from our stay and it is designed to see the sunset with a big balcony, the food is very nice too

This homestay is one of the cleanest I have stayed at in my two month trip to Indonesia. The atmosphere is very relaxing, the place looks new and well cared for. The wifi was working perfectly, just like the AC. The room smelled good. It is also very quiet, so I slept like a baby. I stayed in the twin room.. But most of all, the owners, Annie indah and her husband Johannes are the most caring, helpful and friendly people ever! They took good care of me since the moment I arrived by giving me all sort of advice and even helped me book the train ticket! They even invited me for a tea with freshly baked cake. And the breakfast is delicious, a full meal. Annie Indah is a great cook. I really felt at home! If you are in Banyuwangi don't miss the opportunity to stay at this place!

The property has stunning grounds and garden, Balinese style, with many hidden corners and pavilions where you can relax. A small babbling brook borders the property so you have the relaxing sound of water all around. Thre is a also a pool which we didn't even try as we were so enchanted with the garden. The bungalow we had was richly decorated with gorgeous balinese textile curtains. What made this place truly special for us is the welcome and service Marc and Ericka (owners) gave us : they not only organized a Mt Ijen excursion for us but a fantastic massage by Aini. In the restaurant, son Ricco is a talented cook and the food was excellen... Best breakfast pancakes on and out of Bali!

Thanks to our amazing host, we were able to walk up to Bromo and Mt. Batok just as we wanted, avoiding the crowds and groups. Davi was wonderful—he gave us the best tips to explore the area, and we enjoyed unforgettable hikes with stunning sunset and sunrise views. The room was comfortable, with a hot shower—everything we needed. We definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a more authentic experience. For meals, we had lunch and dinner on a beautiful terrace just a few minutes’ walk from the homestay.

Ni_Er Guesthouse by Mr.Tsabalala se află în Panjunan, la aproximativ 30 km de Parcul național Bromo Tengger Semeru și la 32 km de Mount Lamongan. Nice, clean and comfy room. Staff was super nice and they helped me organize a great tour to Tumpak Sewu! Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a good place in Lumajang!
