Located in Villavieja del Lozoya, Martín Taberna features a shared lounge, terrace, bar, and free WiFi throughout the property. Location was ideal just off the motorway. Dinner was good, a good variety of spanish dishes. Breakfast was really nice. The Mum and her son were fantastic hosts. Not a lot of english spoken but we managed to understand each other. This is a hidden gem, which we will definitely visit again

Set in Cervera de Buitrago, El Lago has a bar. The property features mountain views. The location and the views were amazing. There were so many fun activities to do too. All under a 10 linute walk.

El Rincón de Rascafría se sitúa en el casco urbano del municipio de Rascafría, en el corazón del Parque Nacional de la Sierra de Guadarrama, en la sierra norte de Madrid. The room is big and cozy, location is great and breakfast at the room is a nice touch

Hostal Mirasierra offers rooms in Bustarviejo. Featuring a private bathroom, units at the guest house also have free WiFi. Adolfo Suarez Madrid-Barajas Airport is 51 km away. I liked the location relative to public transport. If you don't have a car but you want to spend a night in the mountains and do some hiking or walking or even cycling, this is a great affordable option for which to base yourself at for a night or two. The rooms are pretty basic, but the shower works fine, with plenty of hot water. There is wifi (though a little slow), the room was pretty clean. There were nice views over parts of town and nearby mountains. There are a few supermarkets and places to eat within easy walking distance. They didn't stint on toilet paper. I don't think it has air conditioning though, which may make it ick during the summer depending on weather. But it is what you'd expect from a one or two star hotel, and for €30, can't go wrong if you want to visit Bustarviejo.

This smart, recently renovated hotel is located in the centre of El Molar, which lies just off one of the main roads linking Madrid with the north of Spain. Easy location just off the motorway at the top of town. Very handy as a stop off when coming from Santander.

Set within 38 km of Chamartin Railway Station and 40 km of Santiago Bernabéu Stadium, Gran Hostal Asador de Soto offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Soto Real. I liked the bed. It was very comfortable. It was nice to have a TV too.

Hostal Madrid Paris is situated in Buitrago del Lozoya, a charming medieval town just an hour’s drive north of Madrid. It offers free Wi-Fi, a restaurant and barbecue facilities. Everything was great! The hotel is quite cozy and safe, the staff are friendly and supportive, and the food is good. I am most grateful to the owner who warmly greeted us when we arrived really late at night (at 1 am). Especially I want to express my enormous gratitute to the owner for his kindness, warmth and cordiality in his support of us when we really needed it. Million thanks to you all, dear people!
