Escape to the Spanish countryside to find peace and quiet in the Posada el Corcal de Liébana. A place for good food and pure relaxation in some of Spain's most beautiful countryside. My husband and I loved our stay here. It was very cozy and comfortable. The room was just what we needed and the breakfast was lovely. The patio is a real treat.

Posada La Torre de La Quintana is housed in a listed historical building that breathes an air of nobility and aristocracy, surrounded by the beautiful lush Cantabrian countryside. It also offers apartments located 800 metres from the main building. I really liked the stay in this place, the town is wonderful and very quiet. The inn is a very charming place, everything is very clean, the decoration is fabulous and the staff is very nice. It is very close to Laredo, about 10 minutes or less by car.

Santander Festival Palace is 34 km from the guest house, while El Sardinero Casino is 36 km from the property. Santander Airport is 30 km away. I stayed and ate at La Terrazza restaurant while walking the Camino del Norte in July 2025. Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is beautiful. And the dinner I enjoyed there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make a stop here during your Camino or eat here if you're lucky enough to live in this area. I stayed and ate at La Terrazza restaurant while walking the Camino del Norte in July 2025. Not only is the accommodation superb and right on the Camino, but the owner and staff were exceptionally hospitable and friendly. The entire establishment is absolutely beautiful. And the dinner I had there was the best I've had since starting the Camino more than two weeks ago. If you have the chance, make this a stop on your Camino or have a meal here if you're lucky enough to live in this area.

Casa Elisa Monegro. Is a recently renovated guest house in Monegro, where guests can make the most of its garden and terrace. The property has mountain and lake views. There is a restaurant serving Mediterranean cuisine, free private parking and an electric vehicle charging station. Great location about an hour from Santander port. Lovely lakeside village 10 mins from main motorway. Genuine family run, newly renovated hotel and bar serving great local food. Carlos was a fantastic host who made the stay a pleasure. He speaks great English and nothing too much a problem. Secure yard at rear, ideal for motorbike stopovers. As is the cold beer and tapas! Will definitely use again, what a gem.
