Set in Paraty, within 600 metres of Pontal Beach and 1.2 km of Paraty Bus station, Pousada Antígona offers accommodation with a garden and as well as free private parking for guests who drive. A great hotel with clean and spacious rooms, a nice communal space with a warm pool and seating areas. The pousade was close to the center of the town but away from the busy areas so there’s no noise at night. Staff was very kind and helpful. We also loved the breakfast. Overall an amazing stay and one of our best hotels in Brazil.

Conveniently located in Paraty, Pousada Villaggio offers air-conditioned rooms, an outdoor swimming pool, free WiFi and a garden. Nice little bed and breakfast. Well located (4 minute walk from the bus station) so easy to get to and from the bus station and also very close to the historic downtown (5 minute walk). The workers were very friendly (let me borrow an adapter for charging my phone, always smiling, very pleasant). The highlight was the breakfast which was quite excellent. I did not use the pool. There was a large parking lot which could accomodate at least 10 cars. The rooms are good for 2 people. We squeezed 3 adults which was do-able but probably not for more than 1 or 2 days. 3 or even 4 people would be probably ok with 2 adults.

Set in Paraty, 3 km from Paraty Airport, Pousada Apple House Paraty boasts an outdoor pool and access to Cachoeira do Tobogã waterfall. Guests can enjoy the on-site bar. Apple House is a beautiful hotel, 5 fantastic swimming pools, a great games room for our children and they loved the ice cream shop too. The restaurant has fabulous room and the breakfast is to die for, so much choice and the desserts are unreal. The staff are amazing, everyone we met walking along greats you a big smile, the stay go out of their way to do everything for you from checking in to arranging the transfers into Paraty each day and evening. Tassiana was amazing for organising the boat cruise, which was unbelievable, she really couldn’t do enough for us. Going up and beyond and awaiting when we needed some urgent laundry taken care of she arrange this for us too and also arranging a really nice transfer for us to Ilha Grande. Thank you Tassiana for everything and all the other staff at Apple House.

Offering an outdoor pool and a fitness centre, Guest house Pousada Terê Parque is located in Teresópolis. An array of activities can be enjoyed on site or in the surroundings, including hiking. We liked it so much that we extended our stay. Comfortable room, beautiful surroundings, great pool, nice staff. 10/10.

Set in a park with a river and waterfall, this guesthouse is 10 km from Visconde de Mauá village centre. The pousada is surrounded by **beautiful green areas**, which create a serene atmosphere perfect for relaxation. The gardens are not only well-maintained but also quite inviting, making it an ideal spot to unwind and enjoy nature. One of the highlights of my stay was the stunning **waterfall** nearby. It added to the overall charm of the environment, offering a peaceful backdrop and a wonderful spot for photography. Overall, the natural setting is truly breathtaking

We loved everything… excellent breakfast, great attention with the customers, and close to all amenities to get a fun and enjoyable time in Paraty. A++++ recomendo muito

Set in Cabo Frio, 4.2 km from Municipal Estadium Alair Correia, Pousada Boutique do lazer offers accommodation with an outdoor swimming pool, free private parking, a garden and a shared lounge. Very nice small hotel in a remote place close to a little canal. Anyway easy to reach with car or Uber. The staff is incredibly friendly. There is any comfort you might look for. Hardly recommendable
