It was during the Yosaikan Festival and this place away from Sapporo city centre, didn't expect anything as only need a place to stay for 1 night and it turned out it was a very pleasant stay and unexpected. Breakfast simple but good. Thank you Michiko!

the location is nice and near to the station, the staffs are overwhelmingly kind and easy to talk to, with an interest in fly fishing, a cool and artistic hobby from my perspective, and not to mention they have fine taste and understanding in manga. Stayed in the twin room in the apartment next door. When I arrived, the lady at reception was so kind and carried my luggage up the stairs to my room for me. The room was immaculately clean and had everything I needed. The comforter kept me nice and warm, there was good heating and the shower had good water pressure. It is only 6 mins from the closest subway station and a just a few streets away from Odori and Susukino. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The bedrooms were kept nice and cool during the hottest days in Sapporo. I liked that it's a bit smaller and cozy since it makes it easier to choose whether you want to be social or not. Lots of space downstairs in the cafe to work if you need to or to chat with friends. I've always made really good travel buddies at Yasube. Just a short walk away from the park where the train station is, plus there are always activities happening at the park regardless of season. Also, very close to all sorts of mom-and-pop restaurants. I really recommend Bar H which is right around the corner if you like to drink and chat, especially if you speak Japanese and want to talk to some locals (although the bar owner loves to talk to people in English too). Great place to stay if you're looking for a more relaxed, slow-paced stay. Yasube-san is super nice and always willing to help out.
