This place deserves an 11 out of 10. I travel a lot, but I have hardly come across something so perfect! As I travel solo almost all the time, it was a treat to be greeted so warmly and taken care of so well by Amira. The room was absolutely wonderful, perfectly appointed, calm, simple elegance, tasteful and warm and the same time. If I ever come back to Siena, there simply is no other place to stay. Villa Socini has to be one of the most perfect places to stay in Siena, particularly if you are travelling by train. It’s a few minutes easy walk from the station and just a stone’s throw from the city wall and plant of gorgeous restaurants. It has a very traditional feel and was oozing Italian character and charm. We particularly loved the terrace overlooking the countryside and part of Siena. The host, Vittoria, was friendly, welcoming and very available.
