This tented house offers a kitchenette, en suite bathroom and a private veranda and boma area with a fire pit. All the luxuries of a cottage stay combined with being in the outdoors. In short: glamping. The fireplace is huge and allow for a proper campfire. There are numerous tents, but set quite apart so that you have your privacy. The of our veranda looked right out into the bush. Clean swimming pools. The host was very friendly and forthcoming.

Very well appointed self catering unit. Immersed in nature, very relaxing just lazing in the pool and having the wildlife casually grazing nearby. Aesthetics of the unit tie in very well with the surroundings. The host is very friendly and helpful and always available to assist with any queries or requests. We visited in 2023 and were surprised and pleased upon our return at what seemed to be an upgrade and maintenance of all the features and amenities. The ultimate "better than glamping experience" in my opinion. Perfect for enjoying sunset (or sunrise!!) cocktails, enjoying your own heated splash pool at any time of the day, braaiing and relaxing by the fire while immersed in nature while still also close enough to nearby shops and attractions. Will definitely go back time and again!

Traveling for the first time into this part of "historical" South Africa and after hearing about the negative stuff, I wasn't sure how it will be, but "Lungi" made it a "smooth" ride. He knows many people around and will help you out in getting rid of the negative perceptions/stereotypes you have about this place. He can also spontaneously organize tours and guide you in showing different places around Jo'burg/Soweto. After staying here, I can say that staying here was better than in staying in Jo'burg. The room & the toilets are clean...and no mosquitoes (at least inside the room). So, it was a learning & a great stay! :)
