The dinner is optional, however, we still booked it as there is no restaurant nearby. I expected it just a meal set instead of a tasty buffet! Me and my partner had a good stay at Moon Light Camp.

Speaking both Arabic and English, staff at the reception can help you plan your stay. Location is secluded, away from others, and much inside the desert. So you really get to feel living in the middle of a desert. The owner, Idris, is very humble and helpful with everything. The caretaker, Irfan, knew Hindi and possesses immense knowledge about the desert and Oman, he was a perfect guide for us. Don't miss the sunset walk with Irfan, once you reach the end on the other side and see the wadi, it's beautiful. They can also arrange for barbeque and bonfire if you like. Food is a little expensive, but then they have to go to the town to fetch most of the things, hence its justified.

The luxury tent specialises in a buffet and American breakfast and breakfast in the room is also available. There is a coffee shop, bar and lounge.

Sightseeing tours are available around the property. The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. Great!! It really felt like an authentic stay in the desert, we traveled the world a lot and that was one of the most special places. Everyone at the camp was really nice. The tents are clean and comfortable. Private little bathroom attached. Food was very good. Also did the dune bashing tour for sunset which was amazing. Absolutely recommend if you want an authentic desert experience, dont expect luxury or special amenities, but still very clean and comfortable tents.

The luxury tent has a picnic area where you can spend a day out in the open. We had an amazing night here, the camp is further out than the others which gives it a private and exclusive feeling. One of the most beautiful sunsets ever, good buffet dinner & breakfast & fire at night with the stars above was a highlight! Bathrooms are clean, just a bit smelly, I guess that is not to be avoided in a place so secluded! Bed and tent were spacious and comfortable.

This is how you do the business! Owner and other employees were kind, helpful and told us about omani culture and history. Tents were really comfy, bedsheets clean and the second smaller tent with bathroom was as well really well equipped. Situated in Bidiyah in the Al Sharqiyah region, Rashid Desert Private Camp has a balcony. This property offers access to a terrace and free private parking. On clear days, guests can head outside to enjoy the luxury tent's outdoor fireplace or simply kick back and relax. We stayed only one night, but it was one of our favourite nights in Oman! The campsite is secluded enough - further from the city lights and other camps. You have enough privacy, silence and the sky full of stars. Rashid is a very nice owner, who is very welcoming, attentive, has great sence of humour and is an interesting person to talk to. So prepare all the questions you would like to have answered about Oman and Omanis! The food was great and the dune bashing was sooo much fun! :) Cannot wait to come back for more nights!
