Comfortable tent very cosy, plenty of privacy, great bathroom facilities, incredible food, and warm vibes! The host did everything to make sure I was comfortable. I loved the location, but it does require some scenic walking along the rail track to get there - the tuk tuk can’t take you all the way. I would recommend walking from the Ella train station along the tracks so you don’t need a tuk tuk at all - it’s only 15 min walk - and it’s safe, many locals walk along it, you will hear any incoming train for a long time before you see it. The lovely host helped me carry my bags along the track. Easy walking distance from Ella town too. A really unique must-do experience. And it’s only a 10 min walk to the 9 arch bridge!

It’s situated on a remote mountain surrounded by tea plantations and absolutely peaceful. In the morning you can see a beautiful sunrise from bed and the family prepares the most delicious breakfasts, dinners and BBQs. Unfortunately we were both a bit sick but Viraj’s family took great care of us, prepared some herbal drinks and drove us to a doctor and pharmacy where they translated everything. Thank you very much! Would definitely recommend!!!
