Wanakaset Forest Glamping is situated in Kitulgala. The property has mountain and garden views, and is 49 km from Leisure World. We came across Wanakaset accidentally and fitted it into our already tight schedule, so we could only stay for one night, which is a shame. We would have liked to stay at least one more night to see more of the estate, especially as we had the “Apple room”, which is the big room at the front side of the building with the best view. We very much enjoyed this unusual accommodation, the fantastic views and the fireflies at night. The bed was the most comfy we had in Sri Lanka and despite our concerns we had no problems with mosquitos. Also we had our own (but not ensuite) bathroom, which we did not expect. Maybe because Wanakaset was not fully booked.

Tents are situated in the cave with direct views to the waterfall and the swimming part of the river. Linen is provided. Amazing place. Surrounded by nature. With a little waterfall next to the place and a private natural pool, the whole experience was quite unique.
