I had a once in a lifetime experience with my fabulous Bedouin guide, Walid, who was passionate about sharing the beauty of what Fayoum had to offer. The dreamy landscapes and variety of the desert was unlike any I've seen -- and I've been to many deserts around the world. Don't forget to look at the sky at night. Truly magical! The staff, including the owner, Nasr, were exceptional--attentive, welcoming, and they went out of their way to make my stay there memorable. Waheed, the soft and lovable Lodge dog, provided comfort and companionship and made sure I was safe when I went for walks. She was a pleasure to have around. I LOVE her! If you're looking for a unique and peaceful desert escape, Northern Lake Lodge is the perfect choice. I will be back!
