The mountain location, the comfort and space, the breakfast should you choose to order it (please do it...at least once), the constant generosity of little extras that were provided... especially food and wine, the beds, the little touches... nothing is left to chance. Resu, and her daughter who helped, clearly love what they do. This is how it used to be before corporatisation spoiled the booking websites and earning a buck became more important than extending hospitality. If you are anywhere near Bilbao and have transportation then stay here... you won't regret it. We will return!

It is in a very quiet location, just the birds and the cow bells. It had been a long trip from Portugal getting there, so we stayed two nights to recover. Breakfast was freshly served and we could sit inside or out under their veranda. The restaurants are mainly in Zarautz about 15minutes away. They typically open late in the evening, after 8pm. The first night we found a tapas type bar, which was Ok The second night we went on the owners recommendation to Telesforo, restaurant which she booked for us, and it was superb.
