The room was spacious, renovated, large bed, quiet, the staff of the hotel was very kind, professional and helpful. We asked to change the room and they delivered my request. The bathroom was also clean and nicely renovated.

Perfect location, super close to 2 different subway stations, free water all day, free coffee in the morning, free wine every evening. The room is not too small (if you know other hotels in New York that have even less space). The building is old but was clearly renovated, the bathroom was super modern and clean, spacious. I felt safe walking to the hotel at night (traveling alone as a woman)

Excellent staff, very helpful the entire stay (reception, facilities service, house keeping, etc.). Even after checkout, the staff was extremely service oriented, storing luggage until the end of the day and allowing us to freshen up, have a coffee and wait for our taxi (arranged by hotel). Perfect location, in a great neighborhood, with easy subway excess and great food options all around. Great rooms, we had the quietest stay with best sleep here in NY (compared to 5 other hotels during our trip).

Amazingly convenient location. Clean, comfortable. The pool on the roof is just luxury after a very long walk around the city. But! Keep in mind that the pool is open for visiting with children until 6pm or until 7pm. We were with our 8-year-old son and he was not allowed into the pool, naturally my husband and I did not go either, which greatly upset both him and us. When booking the hotel, there was no such information, and upon check-in, no one reported this either. This is a huge minus for us, since we chose a hotel with a pool in order to relax with the whole family in the evening after a walk. Next time we will choose another hotel precisely because of this restriction. When booking a hotel through Booking, it is indicated that car parking is included, but in fact it turned out that parking needs to be paid additionally - $ 85.

Our 8 days, 7 night stay at the Evelyn was truly amazing. From the moment we arrived till the moment we left to the airport the staff was absolutely the best! We had the best sleep on those comfy beds after waking 20k+ steps a day and the breakfast to go options were good. The rooms are spacious considering it’s New York and the hotel is simply beautiful.

Everything was great from the moment I arrived and began the check in. Lots of friendly staff available, fast check in, beautiful bar in the lobby, big umbrellas for guests to borrow, spacious room with Virtuo Nespresso Machine, little fitness room, super central location, didn't hear any noise in my room.
