A truly nice ryokan stay - several rooms/houses, hidden among the trees, many options for bathing - two M/F outdoor onsens, and several private baths. We did not use the indoor onsen. Breakfast and dinner are worth themselves the stay, as they are really "rich", both in variety of the food and the colors :) Room was simple and elegant, more than big enough for two. The staff was very professional, polite and helpful. Hope that we visit the place again! Arrive here early, not just before the dinner, so you can enjoy the many onsen possibilities and sit down for a cup of tea among the trees.

We slept in a room with a private bath, the views to the river from the balcony were fantastic. The hotel has a beautiful Japanese design, the dinner was one of the best we had in Japan. Everything was perfect.

I was guest of this Ryokan in early December and it was like living in a dream. The town is enchanting, the Ryokan is absolutely splendid and well kept, the breakfast and the dinner were an amazing experience and the personnel was kind and professional (especialy Quynh who was superkind and made my experience even more memorable). We travelled to Kurokawa onsen Mori No Ki Ki by driving from Kumamoto, it took us about 2 hr. The staff (or the owner) was so kind and willing to facilitate and keen to support us nicely. We were so much impressed and appreciated. The house was so clean, the onsen was good. Home made bread was excellent. We suggest the visitor should come before the evening as to see the sign clearly. The sign showing the accommodation name a bit small comparing to the others, so you may miss when it is dark. The rest are excellent, if you like peace and relax with warm heart, you may like this one.
