It was a real pleasure to stay at this family hotel in Verona! From the moment we arrived, we felt at home thanks to the incredible warmth and hospitality of our hosts. Our every wish was fulfilled with a smile and attention, and their friendliness and dedication to the guests left a strong impression on us. The rooms were neat, comfortable and decorated with special care, and the breakfast was delicious and prepared with love. Such sincere care and effort that the hosts invested in our stay is truly rare and worthy of every praise. Everything -- the rooms are beautiful and well-appointed, spacious and very comfortable. Everything is spotlessly clean and the owner, Francoise, is welcoming and personable. There is a lounge for guests with free coffee, water, tea, and beer, which is a very thoughtful touch. It may look a tad out of the main tourist drag on a map, but trust me, it is a very easy walk to the center and all the main tourist sites -- about 10 minutes to the heart of the old city -- and there are plenty of good restaurants and cafes just around the corner. The Abbey's biggest plus for me is that it is in such a quiet location, away from the tourist madness around Juliet's purported house, but close enough for an easy stroll to see everything. I would not stay anywhere else in Verona!

I celebrated my birthday weekend in Verona, and staying in the River Castle Central Verona was a great choice! The location is very central - it is very close to some of the main sights in town, bars, restaurants, shops and other facilities are a few steps away (and I highly recommend trying the osteria located on the same street as the property - we had a great experience there). The parking was easy; we parked in the streets around the hotel, and could always manage to find some place available even during the peak season (street parking is paid). The property itself is exactly as you see in the pictures - it has all the necessary amenities, it was tidy and very well arranged. The host was very kind and communication was extremely fast and smooth. We had a really awful accident, breaking one of the keys, but the host was very kind and didn't mind this, immediately offering a solution. In addition, we were allowed to leave our bags after the check-in which was also a very helpful additional service. As such, the overall experience was very positive and I highly recommend chosing this property!

Everything was absolutely perfect about this apartment. The location in a quiet neighborhood, but still walking distance to city center was perfect for us with smaller kids. Nadia gave good advice of what we could do and eat in the city and was so friendly and welcoming. If we are in Verona again, we will definitely come back. Good spacious apartment, with everything we might need.
