The studio-flats are in a quite large and well-designed block of suitable height so as not to dominate the surrounding, 19th-/early-20th-century and inter-war tenement houses and villas. There was a balcony the width of the flat overlooking the street, while at the back was a small garden, so it felt quite excluded and private. The flat itself consisted of main room, including the double bed, separate kitchen and bathroom all linked by a very short linking area (hardly a corridor, so well-planned and very practical). I enjoyed my morning and evenings in the flat: I'd stay there again and again, if only I could travel to Switzerland on a regular basis. Nothing ever disturbed us. While Swiss rented accommodation tends to be expensive, you certainly get to stay in excellently comfortable places; but even then, the City Stay apartments were so (comparatively) reasonable, they were fully booked-up. I would like to express my especial thanks to the kind young woman (originally from the Philippines?) of the City Stay 'phone service who so kindly got us registered in, after I'd left it until the eleventh hour to send the necessary details. Also, special thanks to the cleaning staff who unexpectedly produced a fold-up futon bed for me to sleep on. VIELEN DANK!

We recently stayed at the Plattenhof with our 7 month old son. The hotel was cute and quirky with lovely staff members who made us feel very welcome. They provided a cot free of charge and there was a high chair available for us to use in the restaurant. Breakfast was good and there was a range of options and coffee was available to make yourself or order from the team. There were also lots of baby appropriate foods available at breakfast. The hotel provided a list of activities to do and sights to see which was great and really helpful. The location was great and walking distance to the city center and there was also a tram stop just down the road which also went straight to the city.

The receptionist was a really nice guy. We could check-in late without any issues and had to leave very early to catch the next flight. He volunteered to make us an early breakfast (at 5 AM) which we GREATLY appreciated and be there for our check-out. He provided us with a necessary bill for the stay and checked us out very quickly. The room was great, as you'd expect from the price and location.
